About The Position
SMS Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable General Facilities Maintenance professional to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility equipment, machinery, and building structures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have maintenance and troubleshooting experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while following all safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and write English
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- Must have your own basic tools and toolbox

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs
- Maintain facility structures, pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Perform welding and metal cutting as needed
- Inspect and test machinery for malfunctions
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
