About The Position

The General Foreman will act as the key leader, supervising the Property Maintenance Technician to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. They coordinate, plan, and execute, directing daily operations, managing resources, enforcing safety regulations, and liaising between contracted crews and management. This role requires availability for emergency call-outs, scheduling routine maintenance, ensuring proper material disposal, and acting as a support person to the Executive Administrator of Operations. The position also involves assisting with SST Evaluations and annual Teammate Performance Reviews, and performing any other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • 5-10 years General Contracting in the Construction industry
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or GED and relevant work experience.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises Property Maintenance Technician, and subcontractors as well as train teammates.
  • Coordinates daily work schedules, resources, materials, and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Enforces all safety policies, regulations, and building codes to maintain a secure job site.
  • Responsible for all facility maintenance needed.
  • Serves as the liaison with Property Maintenance Technician or outside contractors for facility maintenance tasks.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between job-site operations and leadership, reporting on progress, budget, and issues.
  • Resolves on-site conflicts, equipment delays, and work stoppages.
  • Must be available to assist with emergency call out work when needed.
  • Schedule downtime for routine maintenance of trucks/equipment with Shop & Fleet Manager.
  • Ensure materials are properly disposed of per environmental specifications and logs are kept.
  • Act as a right-hand support person to the Executive Administrator of Operations.
  • Must be able to have constructive conversations with teammates, as needed.
  • Assist Executive Administrator of Operations with SST Evaluations and annual Teammate Performance Reviews.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
