FEDITC is seeking a General Engineer, Level 3, to work in Warren, MI. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. Requirements

  • Minimum 9 years specialized experience in working with/on tracked or wheeled combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity, working directly with PM offices, and working onsite at military installations
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a managing Government office of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case(s) with direct knowledge of the FMS process, procedures and case execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trade-off studies, system engineering plans, effectiveness analyses, risk management, configuration management, interface management, data management, performance measurements, technical reviews, requirements analysis, engineering analysis of hardware/software configuration, and functional analysis.
  • Define alternative system concepts, configuration items and system elements, select preferred product and process solutions, and define/refine physical interfaces.
  • Provide engineering analysis, and design/testing documentation support in support of assigned weapon systems, as directed by FMS Government leadership.
  • Documentation support includes recommended fixes, inspection procedures, installation procedures, and procurement options.
  • Engineering analysis shall include electrical and physical integration of subsystems and components, failure analysis, engineering design review for lifecycle cost reductions, and product change analysis of components and end items.
  • Provide component and vehicle testing, design analysis, and delivery of recommended design changes to the Government, which encompass the entire technical range as represented by the products managed by FMS Government leadership.
  • Generate and review milestone documentation in support of program reviews as directed by FMS Government leadership.
  • Participate in requirements management, technology assessments, development and evaluation of design concepts, and risk analysis and mitigation on all programs as directed by FMS Government leadership.
  • Must know the physical configuration of all Abrams Tank variants for all FMS countries. This knowledge includes, but is not limited to, differences in physical vehicle characteristics, engines, transmissions, electronics (including radios and LRUs), lethality, mobility, vehicle software including updates, and vehicle architecture for the Abrams Tank variants.
  • Must be able to travel to Abrams User nations.
  • Provide a briefing at the annual Abrams Users Nations Group (ABRUNG) conference detailing technical information and updates including software and hardware changes as applicable to all members of the ABRUNG as directed by the FMS Government Leadership.
  • Previous experience working in a managing Government office of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case(s) with direct knowledge of the FMS process, procedures and case execution.
  • Must be able to communicate via phone, email, and Microsoft TEAMS.
