About The Position

The General Dentist supports Willamette Dental’s evidence based treatment philosophy, mission, vision and core values by performing the full scope of general dentistry permitted by state. The work is primarily performed while sitting and/or standing, but will require occasional walking, bending, stooping and carrying light items such as papers, books, or other supplies. The incumbent uses a computer and other standard office equipment to complete tasks. Willamette Dental is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • Degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), and/or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
  • Successful completion of a traditional pre doctoral dentistry program.
  • Valid licensure in the specific state(s) where practicing.
  • Knowledge of evidence based dental practices.
  • Knowledge of AxiUm electronic records.
  • Knowledge of CAMBRA and PEMBRA, with an emphasis on prevention.
  • Knowledge of risk phases, and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic terms.
  • Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat and oral cavity anomalies.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and optimal patient experience. This includes patient needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the full scope of general dentistry permitted by state.
  • Fulfill all requirements to ensure proper electronic documentation for all care provided to patients.
  • Utilize knowledge of CAMBRA and PEMBRA, with an emphasis on prevention.
  • Apply knowledge of risk phases, and risk assessment.
  • Apply knowledge of diagnostic terms.
  • Apply knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat and oral cavity anomalies.
  • Apply principles and processes for providing customer and optimal patient experience. This includes patient needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of patient satisfaction.
