About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dentist to join a rural Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in West Central Illinois. The role provides comprehensive dental care to underserved populations, focusing on preventive, restorative, and emergency dental services. Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
• Valid Illinois dental license in good standing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a rural or community health setting.
• Knowledge of FQHC operations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Provide preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and patient education.
• Deliver restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions.
• Manage dental emergencies and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with FQHC and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote oral health awareness.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe clinical environment.
