About The Position

Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Cardiologist to join their team in Southern Oregon. This is a conventional cardiology position where the incoming physician will inherit an existing patient panel from a retiring provider and have the opportunity to grow their practice. The practice is described as collaborative and patient-first, with a "work hard/play hard" culture that values work-life balance. Providers average 10 patients per day in the clinic, with 60-minute slots for new patients and 30-minute slots for follow-ups. The schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday, typically including 3 clinic days, 1 procedure day, and 1 admin day. The practice utilizes two Cath Labs, one recently updated and the other scheduled for renovation. There is an equitable call rotation of 1:4 for weekdays and weekends, with Interventional backup available. Procedures include Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Cardioversions, and interpretation of Stress Testing (nuclear and treadmill).

Requirements

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Cardiologist.
  • Experience with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
  • Experience with Cardioversions.
  • Experience with interpretation of Stress Testing (nuclear and treadmill).

Responsibilities

  • Work with and mentor Family Medicine residents during their cardiology rotations.
