Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Apprentice Carpenter, Journeyman Carpenter preferred.
Requires valid driver's license, state-issued CDL preferred.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures, good mathematical skills and mechanical abilities.
Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operation as described.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works with intermittent supervisor.
Primary job functions require exercising independent judgment and mentoring junior carpenters.
Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operation as described.
Knowledge and experience with computer programs (Procore, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers.
Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or plan procedures.
Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
Other duties as assigned.
