About The Position

Saskatoon Co-op is seeking a part-time General Clerk for their Colonsay location. This position reports to the Store Manager and involves a variety of customer service, stocking, merchandising, and operational duties. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be dependable, and possess strong customer service skills. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age.
Have or willing to obtain Serve It Right Saskatchewan.
Possess sufficient knowledge and experience of merchandise handled to effectively operate the assigned section(s).
Be familiar with all lines of merchandise handled by the site.
Be strongly service-oriented and motivated.
Be capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Be prepared to increase product knowledge and improve merchandising techniques through special courses, product clinics, seminars, and training sessions.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and direction.
Physical ability to handle the work to be assigned.
Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Maintain a positive, professional approach and attitude.
Be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
Provide outstanding courteous customer service.
Stock, display, and merchandise products according to Saskatoon Co-op Policy and Procedures.
Perform housekeeping duties as required.
Perform receiving duties as required.
Operate and maintain the forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment safely and responsibly.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Be responsible in the area of Loss Prevention.
Operate cash register as required.
Adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
