About The Position

PT Baker (Westview Food #50) Saskatoon, SK - Saskatoon Co-op. Reporting to the Bakery Manager, responsibilities for this position include preparing, baking, and finishing bakery products, including mixing doughs and batters, and processing products to the point of sale. The role also involves cake decorating, ensuring high cleanliness and quality standards in product handling, supervising other bakery employees as needed, maintaining daily production and ingredient records, keeping equipment clean and in good working order, and maintaining good sanitation standards in the work area. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified journeyman Baker or have the equivalent knowledge and expertise to perform all baking functions in the department.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the commercial Baking industry.
  • Good health and health habits - capable of handling ingredient and product rates common in the plant.
  • Must be physically able to perform the lifting and carrying required in the department.
  • Must be well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
