About The Position

This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, stocking and merchandising products, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the location, and performing various operational duties. The role requires effective operation of the point-of-sale system, adherence to company policies, and general administrative and maintenance tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Sufficient knowledge and experience of merchandise handled to effectively operate the section(s) assigned.
Familiarity with all lines of merchandise handled by the site.
Strong communication skills, service-oriented and motivated.
Capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and direction while achieving a high level of production.
Physical ability to handle the work to be assigned.
Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Stock, display and merchandise as per Saskatoon Co-op Policy and Procedures.
Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times.
Perform order receiving duties when required.
Operate and maintain the forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Be responsible in the area of Loss Prevention.
Effectively operate the point-of-sale system and have an understanding of the back-office functions.
Be familiar with and adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures.
Provide pump assistance as required.
Be responsible for administrative duties as assigned by the store manager.
Perform the necessary daily reconciliations and reports, as directed by the store manager.
Be responsible for general maintenance and equipment up-keep, as directed by the store manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
