About The Position

Saskatoon Co-op is seeking a part-time General Clerk to join their team. This role involves serving members with products and services that help build, feed, and fuel individuals and communities. As a member-owned business, profits are returned to members and stay within the local economy. Saskatoon Co-op has over 1400 employees serving over 127,000 members across various sectors including grocery, liquor, pharmacy, petroleum, home and building solutions, and agricultural supplies.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years of age.
Have or be willing to obtain Serve It Right Saskatchewan.
Possess sufficient knowledge and experience of merchandise handled to effectively operate assigned sections.
Be familiar with all lines of merchandise handled by the site.
Be strongly service-oriented and motivated.
Be capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Be prepared to increase product knowledge and improve merchandising techniques through special courses, product clinics, seminars, and training sessions.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and direction.
Possess the physical ability to handle the assigned work.
Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Maintain a positive, professional approach and attitude.
Be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
Provide outstanding courteous customer service.
Stock, display, and merchandise products according to Saskatoon Co-op Policy and Procedures.
Perform housekeeping duties as required.
Perform receiving duties as required.
Operate and maintain the forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment safely and responsibly.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Be responsible in the area of Loss Prevention.
Operate cash register as required.
Adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
