Requirements
- One year of progressively responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
- Must pass a employment criminal background check.
- One to two years of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for six months up to one year of general experience.
- Candidates must be eligible for and obtain a Secret Clearance within six months of appointment. Failure to obtain will result in termination.
Responsibilities
- Screens telephone calls, makes appointments, and provides general information.
- Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail, accounting documents, data processing printouts, etc.
- Performs receptionist duties. Greets, logs, and screens visitors.
- Provides general organizational information.
- Operates a telephone.
- Prepares routine reports requiring the gathering and compilation of information data from department operating records, financial records, personnel records, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
