About The Position

V2X is a global company that builds smart solutions integrating physical and digital infrastructure. The General Clerk III operates under the direct supervision of the Personal Property Processing Office Outbound/Inbound Lead, with oversight from the PPPO Supervisor. This role requires a working knowledge of transportation entitlements under the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the Defense Transportation Regulation (Part IV), along with providing world-class customer service. The General Clerk III will handle customer complaints, assist customers with household goods transportation queries in person, via email, or telephone, and manage mail, messages, and filing systems. The position also involves routine clerical work such as data entry and document processing, and may assist PPPO Counselors by reviewing customer orders and serving as a primary contact for general questions regarding household goods movement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Valid REAL ID State Driver’s License with no restrictions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship (birth certificate or U.S. Passport)
  • Ability to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation
  • Experience in the Defense Personal Property System (DPS)
  • Effective organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience is required
  • Six months administrative background within an office setting (multi-functional work environment)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, SharePoint, and other software programs) to assist with special projects
  • Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision
  • Reliable, able to be at work on time and complete assigned missions daily, able to learn new regulations and cooperate with team members
  • Working knowledge of transportation entitlements under the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR)
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Transportation Regulation (Part IV)
  • Working knowledge of the office unit to effectively assist customers

Responsibilities

  • Complete several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence
  • Intake of customer documents via face to face, emails, of fax
  • Requires familiarity with the terminology of the office unit
  • Selects appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals
  • Refer problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures
  • Accessing databases to retrieve and/or record information such as customer complaints or orders
  • Responsible for updating data bases with customer’s general contact information, and notes per customer interaction
  • Attend briefings with counselors in order to help intake, and review documentation for processing
  • Assist in the department in day to day filing
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives
  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements
