About The Position

AFO is looking for a General Clerk III to work in Fort Carson, CO. This role uses subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps that vary in nature and sequence. The clerk will select from alternative methods and refer problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures. Typical duties include assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of records; verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; and handling and adjusting complaints. Requires a thorough knowledge of an office's work and routine. The individual will choose among widely varying methods and procedures to process complex transactions and select or devise steps necessary to complete assignments.

Requirements

  • Experience working with GCSS-A.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of automated data systems and automated data system input required.
  • Two years administrative experience with some knowledge of military operations and schedules.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily labor input into GCSS-A and work order daily status changes.
  • Ensures that the correct accounting indicator is inputted for direct labor, both regular and overtime.
  • Ensures that correct attendance type is inputted for the indirect accounting indicators.
  • Responsible for assisting the supervisor in tracking daily timecards and status changes.
  • Assist Lead /Supervisor in reviewing work order packets prior to going to the QC for final inspection.
  • Responsible for office operations.
  • Provide customer service and assist employees with minor administrative problems.
  • Responsible for assisting the Lead / Supervisor in scheduling required training and maintaining training records.
  • Ensure all office supplies are requested and tracked.
  • Uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps that vary in nature and sequence.
  • Selects from alternative guides, manuals, or procedures.
  • Typical duties include assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records; verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness.
