About The Position

Marsden Central L.L.C. is seeking a General Cleaner for Southdale Mall in Edina, MN. This is a full-time day shift position, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role involves a mix of indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks, with a significant portion of the shift spent outdoors. As a General Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the mall premises, including grounds, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces. This is an essential job with opportunities for growth within the Marsden family.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Must pass a drug test.
Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to speak English for safety reasons.
As a condition of employment, you are required to become a member of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 26 upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Experience with groundskeeping or outdoor maintenance.
Experience operating cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and leaf blowers.
Ability to attach and detach a pressure washer cart (which is a little heavy).

Responsibilities

Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors throughout the mall.
Collecting and disposing of trash from bins throughout the building and outdoor areas.
Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, and restocking supplies.
Dusting, wiping, and sanitizing surfaces, fixtures, and furniture.
Cleaning entry glass and outdoor stairs in the parking lot.
Removing graffiti.
Operating a pressure washer, leaf blower, and driving a gator and mall-owned pickup truck.
Performing indoor cleaning tasks as needed or depending on weather conditions.
Using a two-way radio for communication.
