Part-Time General Cleaner

About The Position

The General Cleaner keeps building premises clean and orderly. The position is scheduled two times per week for four-hour shifts and requires passing background checks. The cleaner performs routine cleaning, restocking, waste removal, and janitorial storage organization, and reports unsafe conditions or maintenance needs to supervisors. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must pass background checks.
Ability to observe safety and security procedures and comply with policies.
Ability to perform physical work and operate power equipment normally used in janitorial operations.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
Ability to manage time efficiently and work individually as well as within a team.

Responsibilities

Keep building premises clean and orderly.
Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum building floors.
Clean windows and mirrors.
Clean doors, door handles, countertops, and tabletops.
Clean and supply restrooms.
Remove waste and empty trash.
Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas cleaned and inspected.
Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
Organize janitorial storage areas.
Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
