About The Position

The General Cleaner is a frontline team member responsible for cleaning and disinfecting facilities using 4M’s practices, green-seal-certified supplies, and equipment. The role includes maintaining a courteous and reliable presence, cleaning surfaces and floors, removing trash, replenishing restroom supplies, and reporting maintenance issues. Duties are representative and may vary. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Some janitorial experience is required; 4M provides training in its practices.
• Successfully complete a drug screening and background check.
• Comply with safety guidelines.
• Wear provided 4M apparel and personal protective equipment when necessary, in accordance with position and OSHA requirements.
• Have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use 4M’s cleaning and disinfecting practices with green-seal-certified supplies and equipment.
• Provide courteous, reliable, and resourceful service as a representative of 4M.
• Wipe down surfaces, including fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
• Remove trash.
• Replenish towels, soap, and toilet paper.
• Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum.
• Report necessary repairs, replacements, leaks, and drips.
