General Cleaner - College Campus Student Housing

About The Position

Pritchard Industries is hiring a Day Porter/General Cleaner to help maintain student housing buildings and facilities in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Duties include routine floor care, trash removal, restroom and break-room cleaning, and other general cleaning and maintenance tasks. The role also supports housing maintenance projects, responds to emergencies, performs basic repairs and pool maintenance, and cleans outdoor areas. The ideal candidate has a professional attitude and appearance and is initiative-taking, hardworking, dependable, responsible, and able to work independently. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position on the day shift, Monday through Friday. The listed pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
Prior cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Vacuum, mop, and sweep floors; remove trash; and clean restrooms and break rooms.
Assist with maintenance projects around student housing, including extracting water after flooding, responding to emergencies inside and outside housing units, cleaning dorms, performing post-project cleanup, completing basic housing-unit repairs, and conducting basic pool maintenance.
Pick up all trash around the student housing area daily.
Pick up garbage and clean dumpster areas daily.
Dispose of dog waste around student housing buildings.
Remove cobwebs and wasp nests, cleaning one building each day of the week.
Use a blower to clean all landings, stairs, and walkways weekly, covering one building each day.
Clean clubhouse windows at least monthly.
Help ensure buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.
