About The Position
Marsden Central L.L.C. is seeking a General Cleaner for a part-time, evening position in Newton, IA. This role involves cleaning an older building with multiple levels and bathrooms, focusing on daily mopping, sweeping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas including offices, break rooms, and the main entryway. Additionally, there is a weekly requirement to service an adjoining business on Fridays, which includes floor maintenance and trash removal. The job is classified as essential.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years old.
- Must be able to speak English for safety reasons.
- Able to lift up to 30lbs.
- A pre-employment criminal background check is required.
Responsibilities
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors throughout.
- Collecting and disposing of trash from bins throughout the building.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, restocking supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
- Dusting, wiping and sanitizing surfaces, fixtures and furniture.
- Weekly maintenance of adjoining business including floors, trash, and so on.
