About The Position

This is a 50% appointment for the Fall 2026 semester. There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach General Chemistry or similar courses, within the department. The role involves facilitating classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance. The lecturer will serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding specific course or series content and expectations, and will develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.

Requirements

• Previous experience teaching Chemistry is required.
• PhD in Chemistry or related fields is required
• Successful applicants are responsible for ensuring their eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.

Benefits

• The minimum salary for this position is $50,000 per academic (9-month) year, full time (100%). The actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and prorated based on the appointment duration and percentage.
