About The Position

This is a 100% appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year. There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach General or Organic Chemistry, or similar courses, within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment. The role involves teaching General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry, preparing course materials, presenting lectures, preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework, and holding office hours. The lecturer will serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations, develop instructional design and curriculum, and facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction, including assessment of student performance.

Requirements

Previous experience teaching Chemistry is required.
PhD in Chemistry or related fields is required
Successful applicants are responsible for ensuring their eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college/university level is preferred.
