About The Position

Hertrich Family of Dealerships is hiring a General Auto Service Tech / Entry-Level Mechanic for New Castle Acura. This role is intended for someone with automotive maintenance or repair experience who wants to grow into a certified automotive technician. Paid training and certifications are provided, along with opportunities to learn current tools, technology, and repair techniques and progress through structured training and advancement programs. The dealership group describes its shops as well-organized, high-volume, and supported by experienced leadership, a well-stocked parts department, and a team culture based on integrity and teamwork.

The technician performs basic automotive services and multi-point inspections, assists with brake services, and gains hands-on experience while working toward technician certifications. The position also includes maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment. A five-day work week with Sundays off is offered.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of automotive maintenance or repair experience; the posting title states 1–2 years of automotive repair experience.
• Motivated, dependable, and customer-focused team player.
• Desire to learn and grow into a certified automotive technician.
• Own a basic set of automotive repair tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with minimal points.

Nice To Haves

• Brake-service experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic automotive services, including oil changes, lube services, and fluid flushes.
• Complete multi-point inspections (MPIs).
• Assist with brake services; prior brake-service experience is a plus but not required.
• Gain hands-on experience while working toward technician certifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
