About The Position
This is a part-time position with 29 hours per week. The role requires the ability to exert extremely heavy physical effort in very heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials in excess of 100 pounds. Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, odors, depths, and oral communications. Tasks are regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as smoke, dust, pollen, odors, fumes, temperature extremes, machinery, explosives, traffic hazards, toxic/poisonous agents, and disease or pathogenic substances. The Orange County School District will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to allow them to perform the essential functions of the job when such individuals request an accommodation.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Up to two (2) years previous experience and/or training involving clerical or secretarial work
- Any equivalent combination of related education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to exert extremely heavy physical effort in very heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials in excess of 100 pounds
- Visual perception and discrimination
- Ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors
- Ability to perceive and discriminate odors
- Ability to perceive and discriminate depths
- Oral communications ability
