This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI on a full-time basis. This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of automotive or aerospace experience in vehicle / component assembly or repair
  • HS diploma with relevant work experience, technical course work/training/ or professional certifications
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.

Nice To Haves

  • Part fabrication, sheet metal, composite, and metal machining
  • Prototype project and vehicle build.
  • Automotive or aeronautical assembly, or component processing
  • Working knowledge of TeamCenter, NX, & Vis Mockup
  • Understanding of Microsoft Suite of Software
  • Associate degree in a job-related field or Trade School Certification
  • Currently holds or has held a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Past military experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a “Safety first” operational environment and lead corporate safety initiatives.
  • Achieve operational excellence by meeting performance milestones & metrics.
  • Support Continuous Improvement throughout the facility and maintain an organized & clean work environment.
  • Construct Sub-Assemblies from individual components to meet quality and timing metrics.
  • Vehicle level General Assembly with an elevated level of diligence and refinement.
  • Perform general vehicle service using standard tools and processes.
  • Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot issues during general assembly and able to document issues for engineering review.
  • Read and interpret, service procedures, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to engage multiple issues and achieve results with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team setting.
