About The Position

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a General Anesthesiologist to join their team. This role involves evaluating and treating patients, coordinating care, supervising trainees when needed, and collaborating with colleagues to fulfill LVHN's mission. The position emphasizes providing high-quality, patient-centered care, encouraging constructive dialogue, and maintaining optimal availability for patient care. The anesthesiologist will also be involved in promoting community health, monitoring patient satisfaction, documenting patient visits, and utilizing LVHN resources efficiently, including EMR technology.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree Accredited program.
  • PA Medical License - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality evaluation and treatment to patients.
  • Involves patients, families, and colleagues in providing high quality patient-centered care and service excellence.
  • Encourages and models constructive dialogue and crucial conversations.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and participates in LVHN activities.
  • Maintains optimal availability for patient care.
  • Promotes the health of the community.
  • Monitors patient satisfaction scores and works with leadership on strategies to improve the patient experience.
  • Documents and codes all patient visits and encounters in appropriate medical record in accordance with LVHN or other applicable compliance standards, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Uses standard processes and evidence-based guidelines to achieve quality care.
  • Supports LVHN resources and practitioners by promoting and referring internally, when appropriate, to enhance quality.
  • Utilizes LVHN resources efficiently and effectively, including EMR technology, while ensuring timely, appropriate, and quality medical documentation.
  • Supervises Advanced Practice Clinicians, physicians, residents, fellows and medical students, when needed.
