Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting career opportunity for a General and Operations Manager who will perform a key role supporting a Department of Defense customer. This customer operates under a product-based business model whereby Government civilian employees lead and manage the execution of the requirement for defense weapon systems programs with combined Government-Industry teams. Using this approach, the Government maintains control of intellectual property and data rights, enabling it to adapt solutions to the dynamic needs of the warfighter. On this Task Order, Venturi will provide support for technical and systems engineering, technical and project management, organizational management, administration, acquisition, and budget execution for the defense lifecycle. This work includes services for overarching organizational planning, performance reporting, and best practices to ensure consistently high levels of success. This requirement directly supports projects related to multiple major defense acquisition programs, other acquisition category designations, and/or other defense weapons systems that include, but are not limited to, multiple major defense acquisition programs, other acquisition category designations, and other defense weapons systems with an agile management approach to ensure that solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, a business discipline, or a qualifying substitution
  • 8+ years of experience required, at least 4+ of those years must have been supervisory experience.
  • Additionally, at least 4+ of those years of experience must have been directly supporting project management functions within DoD programs.
  • Program Management Professional certification.
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • Must regularly brief senior leadership on program status and milestones
  • Has the ability to oversee contractor personnel project operations by developing procedures; planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance, and administrative support efforts; and monitoring and reporting progress
  • Possesses experience in acquiring and using program/project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Contract Program Manager
  • Responsible for the daily management and control over diverse projects and for supporting initiatives undertaken as part of the TO scope.
  • Plans, directs, and/or coordinates the operations of public or private sector organizations, overseeing multiple departments or locations.
  • Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.
  • Directs efforts of cross-competency team to include teams at multiple locations.
  • Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
