The General Activities Therapist 2 is responsible for planning, conducting, implementing, and monitoring a variety of general recreation, personal development, structured therapeutic, and entertainment activities for inmates. This role involves serving as a member of an interdisciplinary team to analyze, assess, evaluate, define, and recommend group and/or individual treatment goals and activities. The therapist observes participants, provides instruction to inmates, and maintains comprehensive work-related documentation, including reports on individual behavior and progress, program activity implementation, statistical records, and supply requisitions. Additionally, the position requires performing security functions such as man-down, shakedown, and inmate movement, participating in meetings, conferences, and training sessions, and maintaining clean, safe, and functioning work areas. The therapist also manages the storage, issuance, and maintenance of supplies, handles production goods, performs job and fixture set-up, and may relieve a supervisor in their absence.
