About The Position

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and strong candidate to join the Enterprise Services (ES) Accounting & Compliance organization for RTX business units. This role will lead to a broad set of financial responsibilities including assisting in the month end close process, reporting, and audits. Requirements

  • A University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • 2 years of experience with payroll and labor accounting.
  • 2 years of experience with monthly payroll process, preparing and posting complex journal entries, and completing account reconciliations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience or knowledge of SAP or other major ERP systems and Blackline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Previous Raytheon Finance, International Payroll or Timekeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze time and attendance data to help resolve labor/payroll variances related to rates and hours differences.
  • Expat payroll support – emolument research and clearing.
  • Conduct payroll payable reconciliation and clearing.
  • Supporting the reconciliation activities and close processes of the ES Labor/Payroll Accounting Team.
  • Complete general ledger accounting entries.
  • Work with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for data analysis and related corrective action associated with the accounting activities above.
  • Support PwC, DCAA, and Internal, as needed
  • Additional tasks can include repairing financial reporting schedules, and ad hoc projects providing exposure to Payroll, Corporate Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Business Accounting, Human Resources, SAP Competency Center, Conduent, etc.
  • Exposure to and possible involvement in supporting multiple areas of ES Finance including Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Timekeeping, Sales, Use, & Property Tax, Global Disbursements, Contracts to Cash, etc.
  • Possibilities of role expansion and rotational opportunities in all accounting areas of the broader ES General Accounting team.
  • Participate in critical projects, collaborating with Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR, Benefits Finance, 3rd party vendors, Digital Technology, Internal Controls and the SBU’s.
