About The Position

The Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is recruiting a residency-trained Plastic Surgeon to provide transgender affirming care to patients at the University of Colorado Hospital and its affiliates. Candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited Plastic Surgery residency program and be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. While the position will primarily focus on transgender surgical care, there is also the opportunity to provide patients with general plastic surgery care. The candidate must also demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

• Completed an ACGME accredited Plastic Surgery residency program
• Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
• Demonstrated experience/training in gender reassignment surgical techniques
• Ability to obtain license to practice as a physician in the state of Colorado with prescriptive privileges
• Board Certification in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
• 5+ years’ experience in gender reassignment surgical techniques
• 5+ years proficiency in plastic & reconstructive clinical, education and research efforts
• 7+ years’ experience in gender reassignment surgical techniques
• 7+ years’ experience in plastic surgery practice for Professor rank

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a transgender surgical fellowship
• Clinical or basic science research experience
