Capgemini is hiring an experienced software engineering professional to design, build, deploy, and support production-grade conversational and Agentic AI applications. The role involves hands-on development with Python, APIs, JSON, Google Gemini, Vertex AI, Google ADK, and related agent frameworks, as well as building CES/GECX integrations and modernization scenarios. The engineer will create agent workflows, tool/function calling, state and context management, orchestration, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and enterprise-grounding solutions over structured and unstructured data. The position integrates agents with enterprise APIs, databases, CRM, contact-center platforms, and backend systems, and develops full-stack components as needed. It also covers secure authentication, IAM, secrets management, GCP deployment, evaluation, tracing, observability, guardrails, and regression testing. The engineer will troubleshoot production issues across agent logic, prompts, retrieval, tools, APIs, infrastructure, and distributed services; prototype solutions and advance validated prototypes toward production; and work directly with customer engineering teams to reproduce issues, debug implementations, and resolve technical blockers. This is a hybrid role based across Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville, Houston, New Jersey, and Chicago. Capgemini describes its environment as collaborative and offers mentoring and coaching. The posted base compensation range is $101,140–$182,624. Regular full-time employees may be eligible for a benefits package based on local policy and eligibility.
