About The Position
The Operations Associate supports store operations by shipping and receiving stock and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a positive store experience. The role involves inventory control, stocking, merchandising, signage, cash handling, and shrink awareness. Successful associates collaborate effectively, focus on customers, show initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, protect people and assets by following protocols, and learn the technology and retail systems needed for the job. Requirements
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships.
- Customer-service orientation and ability to provide a positive customer experience.
- Initiative, willingness to learn quickly, and interest in learning about the entire business.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
- Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.
- Ability to follow protocols and guidelines to protect people and assets.
Responsibilities
- Handle tasks related to inventory control.
- Ship and receive gear and other items.
- Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
- Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
- Print and place point-of-purchase signage and price signs.
- Handle cash.
- Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
