This internship/co-op position in Global Banking and Markets - Investment Banking (Mining) is for Winter 2027, running from January to April. The role is based in Toronto, ON, with a standard work week of 37.5 hours. Scotiabank offers this opportunity to kickstart a career, build a network, and gain paid experience. The Global Banking & Markets division provides a full range of investment banking, credit, and risk management products and services. The Co-op Analyst Program is designed to introduce undergraduate students to investment banking, including debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory, and business development. Analysts will rotate through up to two investment banking groups, perform complex financial analysis (market comparisons, company valuations, financial modeling), and prepare industry-specific research. The role requires a strong work ethic, high professional standards, and the ability to manage multiple demanding workstreams and projects, often involving extended hours, including weekends. Analysts will have access to the Global Banking and Markets Learning Program and networking opportunities through the Scotiabank Student Social Committee.
