Gatehouse attendants are responsible for greeting all individuals approaching the visitor lane and residents returning home in a friendly and professional manner. They provide informational assistance, directing traffic within the community and recording all vehicular and pedestrian traffic entering the property via the access control system (KWIC). Attendants observe, record, and communicate actions, activities, incidents, and any information of interest to the Management Office, Security, or Front Desk personnel. They complete all appropriate paperwork, ensuring reports are legible and in order, and maintain the cleanliness of the gatehouse. Attendants ensure only authorized personnel are granted access, and that parking is restricted to pick-up/drop-off only. They must use proper telephone etiquette, greeting all callers professionally. Attendants also report building deficiencies such as water leaks, fire alarm violations, or malfunctioning equipment to the Chief Engineer, Management Office, and Front Desk personnel, submitting incident reports or work orders as necessary. Reasonable accommodations are made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
