About The Position
The Gate Monitor Attendant (GMA) is responsible for managing the flow of trucks on the company property, ensuring accurate logging of entries and exits, and maintaining trailer location records. This role also involves handling paperwork for over-the-road drivers, verifying trailer seals upon departure, and inspecting the interior of empty trailers before they leave the premises. The position requires light physical work, including lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or completion of our on-site competency test
- 0-2 years of manufacturing experience needed
- Must adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
- Must be able to perform various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery.
Responsibilities
- Log trucks in and out of the computer system as they enter and leave the property.
- Track trailer locations on the property.
- Handle paperwork for over-the-road drivers.
- Check seals on trailers when they leave.
- Check inside empty trailers when they are taken off the property.
