About The Position
Up North Plastics, Inc., a plastics manufacturer, has an immediate opening for a Gate Attendant at its Cottage Grove, Minnesota location. This position works a 12-hour day shift and pays $17.00 to start. The role involves managing shipments and visitors, patrolling the grounds, responding to emergencies, and coordinating shift transitions. Candidates must be able to operate a computer and communicate well with others.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
Responsibilities
- Scale shipments and release them through computer entry.
- Register visitors and ensure they are directed to the proper departments.
- Patrol the grounds on foot and in a company vehicle as needed.
- Contact police or fire departments in emergencies, such as a fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
- Provide coverage for other gate attendants as needed.
- Complete a daily report.
- Communicate with the relief attendant to ensure a smooth shift transition.
