About The Position
We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterology Physician to provide locum tenens support in Longview, WA, with an expected start in August, contingent upon credentialing timelines. The position entails coverage in both clinic and inpatient settings, focusing on adult patients with a standard procedure list that excludes ERCP.
Requirements
- Board-Certified Gastroenterology Physician.
- Active Washington state medical license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Clean file for a 30-day credentialing timeframe.
- Full vaccination with no exemptions.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage in both clinic and inpatient settings for adult patients.
- Manage a daily census of 12-14 patients across 129-136 inpatient beds.
- Perform standard endoscopy procedures (non-ERCP).
- Work collaboratively with other GI providers, hospitalists, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Handle 24-hour call duties as needed for consults, rounding, and add-on cases.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation.
