About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to join their advanced health network. LVHN is a nationally recognized, forward-thinking organization offering comprehensive care in 95 clinical specialties. This position is primarily located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with some time spent at the Tunnel Rd practice in Schuylkill. The Cedar Crest location has a team of 21 physicians, including advanced endoscopists, transplant hepatologists, and IBD specialists, supported by Physician Assistants and CRNPs. This role requires call and full-time is defined as 36 patient-facing hours.
Requirements
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- A current Pennsylvania Medical License or the ability to obtain one is required
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with various gastrointestinal conditions.
- Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
