Outpatient Gastroenterology - Full Time Kenilworth - NP/PA
About The Position
This is an outpatient-only Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) role in Gastroenterology, located in Kenilworth. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role involves 4.5 clinic days per week and 0.5 dedicated administrative time. There are no nights or weekends required. Call is limited to one inpatient holiday per year. The patient volume is approximately 14 patients per day, and the role includes performing PEG tube exchanges with training and support provided. The practice environment is supportive, with a team of 8 physicians and 5 APPs at the Kenilworth office, and a larger group of 27 physicians and 27 APPs across the practice. The opportunity is in a growing metropolitan area with a diverse patient population.
Requirements
- Certified Physician Assistant or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- North Carolina licensure (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of APP experience required (no new grads)
- Interest in general gastroenterology; subspecialty interests welcomed
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient gastroenterology care to adult patients
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and APP colleagues
- Participate in team-based care delivery and clinical coordination
