About The Position
A well-established, nonprofit healthcare organization in the Bluffton, South Carolina area is actively seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join its growing digestive health program. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, allowing physicians to build a comprehensive GI practice while performing endoscopic procedures in a collaborative, physician-focused environment.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure
- Active or eligible DEA registration
- Excellent procedural, communication, and patient-centered care skills
Nice To Haves
- ERCP and/or EUS experience is welcomed but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal disorders
- Maintain a balanced schedule consisting of inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic care
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy (EGD) and colonoscopy
- Diagnose and manage diseases affecting the digestive tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system
- Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, hospitalists, surgeons, oncologists, and specialty providers
- Utilize an integrated EMR system for timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in shared call coverage within a supportive Gastroenterology team
