About The Position

A Big Texas non-profit Health System is seeking a Gastroenterologist to work in Alamogordo, NM, near Las Cruces. This is a full-time position within the Gastroenterology service line. The role involves providing outpatient care, seeing 15-20 patients per day, and managing 40-60 referrals. The department is small but growing, offering services like FibroScan and PillCam, and has two large procedure rooms for in-office procedures, along with four operating rooms and an outpatient surgery center.

Requirements

• Board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Must have or be able to obtain a New Mexico License before employment.
• Comfortable being the sole provider in the practice.
• Open to J1 and H1B visa holders.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% outpatient Gastroenterology care.
• See 15-20 patients per day.
• Manage 40-60 referrals from other providers.
• Perform in-office procedures using available equipment.
