About The Position

The Gastroenterologist will provide inpatient gastroenterology services at a hospital in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The role includes clinical coverage and call from January 4, 2027, through April 5, 2027, caring for adult patients with gastroenterology needs, including ERCP cases. The position works with advanced practice providers and an in-house anesthesia team, and uses EPIC for documentation. ERCP is preferred; EUS is not required.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania license or Universal License (IMLC).
• Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
• DEA registration.
• At least 1 year of experience.

Nice To Haves

• ERCP experience or proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations and perform endoscopic procedures during scheduled hospital hours.
• Manage on-call coverage, including nights and weekends from Thursday through Sunday, 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Perform ERCP procedures as needed; this skill is preferred.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and the in-house anesthesia team for patient care and procedures.
• Maintain timely and thorough documentation in EPIC and ensure continuity of care during transitions.
