About The Position

Ochsner Health is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologists to join its nationally recognized Gastroenterology programs across Louisiana and Mississippi. Opportunities are available for General Gastroenterology, Advanced Endoscopy, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Specialists. The roles involve comprehensive GI care, advanced therapeutic endoscopy services, or building specialized IBD programs, all supported by robust referral networks, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Requirements

• MD or DO.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Louisiana and/or Mississippi.

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training in advanced endoscopy or IBD welcomed for specialty positions.

Responsibilities

• Focus on comprehensive GI care in a well-established practice.
• Develop and expand advanced therapeutic endoscopy services.
• Build and expand specialized IBD programs.
• Collaborate with surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, and hepatology colleagues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams focused on complex GI disorders.
• Assist with inpatient and outpatient care.
• Participate in shared call schedules.
• Engage in teaching, leadership, research, and community engagement opportunities.
