About The Position
A locum tenens Gastroenterologist is needed for inpatient adult care in Redding, California. The position provides call-only coverage, including 24-hour call from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. Coverage is listed for December 21–27, 2026, with additional January 2027 dates to be determined. The reason for coverage is supplemental. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. Hospital privileges are required, and temporary privileges are available. The facility has 265 beds and uses Cerner.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible.
- California license.
- Active DEA registration.
- ACLS certification.
- Completion of a GI fellowship.
- Clean malpractice history.
- Availability for open dates.
- Hospital privileges are required.
Nice To Haves
- ERCP experience or ability to perform ERCP; it is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive GI care.
- Perform GI procedures, including ERCP if preferred.
- Manage inpatient GI consultations.
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage.
- Collaborate with hospital staff.
