Gastroenterologist Needed for BayCare Hospital Manatee (New Market Opportunity)
About The Position
BayCare Medical Group is seeking two experienced Board Certified Gastroenterologists for a new outpatient facility, Manatee HealthHub, opening in Fall 2026. This facility is part of BayCare’s expansion into the Manatee market and will be located on the campus of the new BayCare Hospital Manatee, opening in 2028. The role involves seeing patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Introducing gastroenterology services before the hospital opens will allow time to establish community presence, develop referral relationships, and build trust in the BayCare brand. This early integration will ensure a strong patient base by the time the hospital opens and allow for seamless integration into clinical teams and care pathway development, ensuring hospital-based coverage from day one. ER coverage frequency is expected to be 1:4. The Manatee Health-Hub will offer primary care, specialty services, and ancillary lab and imaging services.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience.
- Board Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology.
- Ability to obtain a Florida medical license.
