Gastroenterologist Needed for BayCare Hospital Manatee (New Market Opportunity)
About The Position
BayCare Medical Group is seeking two experienced Board Certified Gastroenterologists for a new outpatient facility, Manatee HealthHub, opening in Fall 2026 on the campus of BayCare Hospital Manatee. This innovative facility will allow physicians to establish a presence in the community, develop referral relationships, and build trust in the BayCare brand before the hospital opens in 2028. Onboarding physicians early will ensure integration into clinical teams and the development of care pathways, providing hospital-based coverage from day one. The HealthHub will offer primary care, specialty services, and ancillary lab and imaging services.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience.
- Board Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology.
- Ability to obtain a Florida medical license.
Nice To Haves
- Experience and proficiency in ERCP are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- See patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Provide hospital-based gastroenterology coverage from day one.
- Support acute and consultative needs.
- Participate in ER coverage with an expected frequency of 1:4.
