About The Position

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Valid medical license in the state of practice
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Board certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting is preferred
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and consultations
  • Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders
  • Perform endoscopic procedures and other relevant interventions
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other specialists as needed
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
  • Educate patients about health management and preventive care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and case reviews
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in gastroenterology practice
  • Must be able to cover GI emergencies, including advanced/ERCP procedures
