About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Gastroenterologist in Morgantown, WV, providing clinical coverage and call in a hospital setting. The coverage period is from October 1, 2026, to April 1, 2027. The role involves managing a patient volume of 12-20 procedures per day for endoscopy and 10-12 patients per day in the clinic. The case mix includes General GI, Advanced GI, Endoscopy, ERCP, and EUS. The hospital has 189 beds and is a Level IV Trauma Center. The EMR system used is Cerner. Credentialing takes approximately 60 days.

Requirements

• Active WV license or IMLC
• Board Certified (BC)
• DEA required
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide clinic coverage for gastroenterology patients.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including endoscopy, ERCP, and EUS.
• Manage inpatient consultations and call coverage.
• Collaborate with support staff and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR.
