About The Position
Seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Longview, TX. This inpatient role requires 24-hour beeper call coverage from November 24 to December 12, 2026. Responsibilities include handling inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers, with a 30-minute response time for calls. Admissions are required. The facility is a Level 3 Trauma center with support staff including one PA/NP available Monday-Friday. Temporary privileges are available.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Active Texas Medical License.
- DEA certificate.
- Experience with inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers.
- Ability to admit patients.
- Familiarity with Athena / Medhost EMR systems is a plus.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Level 3 Trauma center.
- Experience working with PA/NPs.
