ACSI is seeking experienced Gasfitter – Class A to join our industrial team to support project requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid Provincial Journeyperson Certification or indentured into a provincial apprenticeship program
  • CSTS-20 Certificate
  • Fall Protection Certificate
  • Mobile Elevated Work Platform Certificate
  • Class A Certification
  • Experience as a Gasfitter in an industrial construction environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
  • Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, repairing and maintaining gas meters, regulators, gas lines and gas appliances.
  • Testing and replacing defective equipment.
  • Measure, cut, thread and assemble pipe using tools such as pipe cutters, pipe threading machines and pipe vices.
  • Attending to gas-escape calls and assisting in the investigation of gas fires and explosions.
  • Preparing work reports.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
  • Journeyperson will mentor apprentices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
