Job Description Job Description IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide . We are currently seeking a Pipefitter /Gasfitter Journeyman to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck, Missouri plant. This plant produces granules from raw material for our vertically integrated shingle manufacturing operation. Requirements

  • Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices
  • Experience installing and maintaining commercial, industrial, or utility piping systems.
  • Knowledge of gas distribution systems, piping materials, and industry practices.
  • Knowledge of gas fitting , pipefitting, fabrication, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Understanding applicable safety regulations and building codes.
  • Ability to perform pipe layout, measurement, and system testing.
  • Proficiency with welding, brazing, soldering, threading, and fitting methods.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient operating computers
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail and workmanship quality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities
  • Must be able to work in a team setting with other tradesman
  • Must wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Gas fitter certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, modify , maintain, and repair gas and piping systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and piping schematics.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, weld, and fit pipe according to project requirements.
  • Install valves, regulators, meters, couplings, and other piping components.
  • Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and repair piping system malfunctions and equipment failures.
  • Ensure installations comply with local, state, federal, and industry codes and standards.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe-threading machines, and testing equipment.
  • Coordinate work with contractors, engineers, supervisors, and other trades personnel.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
  • Utilizing Maximo computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and completed work.
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
